Apples Apples Apples
on 9.29.2008. Filed under: ally, avery, tylanToday, after school, Tylan asked me if we could pick some apples from our tree and set up and an apple stand on our corner. So we did. It wasn't the warmest evening but we had so much fun. We started out by getting the best apples on the low brances. Then Tylan ventured up the tree...way up the tree! He found some great apples up there. The girls helped by sorting the good apples from the bad ones in their little play grocery carts. Then we headed inside to wash them and find the perfect basket to showcase our product. We made a great sign and got everything set up. Our first customer was the neighbor girl, Jessica. She bought 4 right off the bat. After watching many cars drive by and not even slow down or wave to the kids, one car made a quick u-turn and stopped. Out of the car jumped a couple and walked right up, counted the remaining apples, and bought them all!! They even let the kids keep their change. The kids were so excited. So, back to the tree they went to pick MORE apples. From there, we had a few walkers and a mini van stop. The kids sat out there for at least an hour if not longer. They might even try again tomorrow!
